Break Time Respite Program

Group respite program provided 2 x month for children 0-21 years of age with special needs and their siblings. Sessions provide one-on-one volunteer for each child participating and are supported by a Behavior Specialist and Nurse to support children of all needs.

Physician and Community Outreach

Education of pediatrician and family practice offices on standardized developmental screening for children 0-5 and referral resources within the community.

Parent Stress Intervention Program

Training curriculum delivered for parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or delays to address the stress experienced and provide strategies for managing that stress. Training curriculum developed out of Vanderbilt University.

Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation

Consultation to Early Care and Learning sites and families to support the social emotional development of children 0-8 years of age, provide positive supports for managing challenging behaviors, and decrease the incidence of expulsion and suspension.

Early Intervention

Early Intervention services under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act for children 0-3 years of age with special needs and their families. Services are delivered through a coaching model in natural environments to build the capacity of caregivers to support a child’s special needs and to enhance a child’s developmental trajectory.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Individual treatment and consultation for children and parents who are struggling with challenges related to trauma. Services delivered by licensed mental health providers obtaining rostering in the CPP model.

ACES and Hope Professional Learning Community

Eight hour training for early care and learning professionals on Adverse Childhood Experiences, Resilience, Professional Self-Care and Working with Parents. Training is delivered in collaboration with Peaceful Households and is delivered to entire ECE Sites or to professionals from various sites.

ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences Study) Training

Two to six hour training for parents, caregivers and other community partners provided on the ACE Study and the impact of trauma on brain development, executive function and relationships. The training is provided in collaboration with Peaceful Households and the Colorado ACE Collaborative.

Positive Solutions for Families Training

Six-week training for parents of children 0-8 years of age wanting to learn how to support social emotional development and positive strategies for managing challenging behaviors. The course is based on the curriculum developed under Colorado’s Pyramid Plus Center.

NICU Consortium Partnership
