Description:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Our STEM programming helps kids develop technical skills in fields that are increasingly vital to academic and career success. At BGCMD, we make STEM learning fun through games, hands-on group activities and fun competitions.
The Arts. Our wide array of art opportunities (performance, digital and fine arts) are consistently ranked among the top offered by Boys and Girls Clubs nationwide.
Reading & Homework Help. Our “Power Hour” program is a daily, one-hour session of homework and reading. Staff encourage, mentor and assist kids during this time to help them keep up academically. We also offer Accelerated Reader, an evidence-based reading curriculum that is offered at many local schools.
Pathways to Success. This program helps high schoolers explore options for their futures through college/trade school tours, job fairs, helping with college applications and developing financial literacy.
