The Department of Human Services assists individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and security through public assistance programs, services or referrals to community agencies that help provide:
Assistance in obtaining food
Coverage for medical costs
Temporary cash assistance for families
Protection for vulnerable adults and children
A process for obtaining child support
Care options for people with disabling conditions and limited finances
Referrals to community agencies that can help people in need of assistance
