Organization Description

Early Connections Learning Centers (Early Connections) was founded in 1897 to care for young children from low-income working families. Our mission has remained essentially the same throughout our history: to provide high quality, comprehensive early care and education for all children. We operate four full-day, year-round centers for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers; half-day, school-year preschool programs; and before/after school and full-day summer programs for school-age children. Parent fees at all centers are based on family income and 95% of our families receive subsidy or are on our sliding fee scale. Our network of 40 family child care homes, the Home Network of the Pikes Peak Region, offers families quality choices of child care settings and meets the needs of parents with nontraditional work schedules. We also operate Court Care, a free, drop-in center at the 4th Judicial District courthouse for parents with court-related business in El Paso County. We partner with Community Partnership for Child Development…giving children a Head Start (CPCD) to provide Head Start and Early Head Start options in a full-day, full-year model for our families and Colorado Springs School District 11 to provide Colorado Preschool Program options.
