Description:

Offered in English and Spanish, Bright by Three’s award-winning program is a free three-year curriculum based on seminal research findings from The Carolina Abecedarian Project, Hart and Risley, The Perry Preschool Project, and others. Trained volunteers and partners visit with parents and caregivers to share age-specific resource toolkits that help caregivers stimulate their child’s healthy development. Our target population is parents and caregivers of children from prenatal to age three, directing particular attention to at-risk families across Colorado. Caregivers include adults, teens, grandparents, and other informal caregivers. Offering three stages of in-person visits, Bright by Three implements a two-generation curriculum to guide both the caregiver and child. Supplied with Parent Handbook, Games to Grow Tip Cards, Power of Positive Parenting, Language Power, an age-appropriate board book, a picture book, families complete each visit with a library of research-based materials as well as the skills to understand and support their child’s development. Our research-based toolkits and trained partners strive to ensure that all Colorado families receive the adequate services and interventions that mitigate harm and support the child and family in healing.
