Qualistar offers two capital improvement grant opportunities to help offset the costs of modernization, renovations, and facility upkeep.
Qualistar Capital Improvement Grant
This program has been operating since 2007 with generous support from the Boettcher Foundation, Gates Family Foundation, and Anschutz Foundation. These grants support permanent facility improvements tied to providing quality indoor and outdoor physical environments for children, families, and staff. We have been awarding approximately $300,000 per year to an average of 20 nonprofit child care programs each year since 2007.
Healthy Beginnings, Active Futures Grant
This grant allows us to help early childhood education programs improve their outdoor playgrounds and play spaces, including redesigning and replacing expensive playground surfaces or equipment, building new high quality outdoor spaces, or improving existing outdoor play spaces to make them healthier and safer. We award approximately $500,000 per year to an average of 50 nonprofit and for-profit child care programs.
