Professional Development and Technical Assistance have three roles in the community, to build general capacity (including supporting individuals to build a qualified workforce), build program specific capacity, and facilitate communications across systems and sectors. Professional development includes funding scholarships for ECE college classes, delivering college classes and community trainings, and supporting Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) candidates. Technical Assistance includes coaching using the ERS tools, CLASS tools, Pyramid Model , and Creative Curriculum Fidelity. Technical Assistance also includes Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation, providing resources and tools to support high quality early care and education, and promoting continuous quality improvement through systems alignment, Colorado Shines promotion, and developing local early childhood leaders.
