LENA Start is a turnkey early-language program designed for scalable, effective outreach to parents of children aged birth to three. It employs LENA technology, targeted curriculum, and a cost-effective group delivery model to increase interactive talk and generate measurable results.
LENA is based on the belief that all parents and caregivers can unlock their children’s social, emotional, and cognitive potential. We focus on increasing interactive talk because it has been proven to be a key factor in early brain development – and we focus on the earliest years because research points to those as the most critical. The feedback LENA provides helps parents improve talk and conversations with their children. The ability to communicate and have a voice is at the core of being valued as a human. By increasing not just word count, but interactive conversation, LENA helps to create the pathways needed to ensure that children are valued, healthy, and thriving.
