HIPPY is national, evidence based home visitation program. Roots Family Center is offering this program for families with children 3 – 5 years old. The program consists of weekly home visits (1 – 1.5 hrs per visit) in which the home visitor role plays a packet of activities with the adult in the home and then that person works directly with the child. The program is a 30 week, school readiness program that begins in August and ends in May of each year. HIPPY is offered to primarily Spanish speaking families living in southwest Denver.
