Description:

The Early Childhood Council of Boulder County continues to conduct, with sponsor support, a survey of Boulder County’s early care and education providers in order to estimate the prevalence and describe the characteristics of young children in care with challenging behaviors and provider responses to those behaviors. The purpose of this continuing data collection is to identify changes in the prevalence of and provider responses to challenging behaviors within a specific timeframe. This data collection is the first step in tracking long-term trends relating to Boulder County’s children in care with challenging behaviors. A survey of licensed early care and education providers in Boulder County was conducted in 2012 and 2009. We have begun to organize a third implementation of this survey in 2019. Stay tuned!
